Stretching from Agadir north to Imsouane, the coastline around Tamraght and Taghazout is home to the highest density of right-hand point breaks on earth. Whether you're after long peeling cruisers or heavy hollow barrels, here is our coaches' guide to the 10 most famous breaks in the region.

1. Devil's Rock (Imourane) — Our Local Home Break

Located just a 5-minute stroll from our riad in Tamraght, Devil's Rock is a versatile beach break with a rocky outcrop that shapes consistent left and right peaks. It's safe, sandy, and works at almost all tides.

Local Tip: Low tide provides faster, hollower sections near the rock; mid to high tide offers gentle, rolling whitewater and green wave reform peaks for beginners.

2. Croco Beach — The Pop-Up Laboratory

Just north of Devil's Rock, Croco Beach features a massive stretch of open sand with shifting banks. Because there are no rocks, it is the safest place for learners to practice paddling, turning, and standing up with total confidence.

3. Banana Point & Banana Beach — The Longboard Highway

Situated where the riverbed from Aourir meets the Atlantic, Banana Point is a mellow right-hand point break that wraps around the headland onto a sandbar. It provides exceptionally long, forgiving rides ideal for longboarders and developing intermediates.

4. Panoramas — Fast Sections & Clean Sweeps

Located at the south entrance of Taghazout, Panoramas is a right point break that rushes over sand and low rock before peeling onto a wide beach. On a mid swell, it produces fun, rippable walls with an easy paddle out through the channel.

5. Hash Point — The Lazy Right

Named because you can stroll right out of your village café and drop in, Hash Point sits in the heart of Taghazout. When medium to large swells push past the headland, Hash Point generates punchy, fun rights with zero long paddle required.

6. Anchor Point — The Moroccan Legend

Discovered in the 1960s, Anchor Point is Morocco's crown jewel. Breaking over a rock-and-sand shelf, it handles swells from 4ft to 15ft+ and offers rides that can link up for over 500 meters down into Taghazout Bay. Best for advanced surfers who know how to jump off and climb up the rocky point safely.

7. Mysteries — Punchy Ramps & Fast Walls

Just a hundred meters north of Anchor Point, Mysteries is a hollow right reef break that breaks over a flat rock shelf. It works best on medium swells at mid tide, throwing fast barrels and steep walls.

8. Killer Point — The Powerhouse

Named after orcas seen swimming offshore, Killer Point is one of the most powerful point breaks in Morocco. It requires a solid paddle out around the towering sea cliff, but rewards surfers with freight-train walls and immense power.

9. Boilers — The Heavy Swell Magnet

Located 20 minutes north at the Cap Ghir lighthouse, Boilers breaks in front of a historic shipwreck boiler. It sits directly exposed to Atlantic swell and offers fast, bowling right-handers that stay hollow even when other spots are blown out.

10. Imsouane (The Magic Bay) — The Longest Wave in Africa

A 1.5-hour coastal drive from our camp through argan forests brings you to the sleepy fishing village of Imsouane. The Bay offers a wave that gently peels for up to 800 meters across a pristine sand bottom. A single wave can last over two minutes!
